CRIMINAL CONTRIBUTIONS to CAIN CAMPAIGN?

Herman Cain Faces Potential Campaign Finance, Tax Law Violations

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has obtained information suggesting that a private Wisconsin-based company footed tens of thousands of dollars to help get Cain's campaign going. Two key aides led Prosperity USA, which allegedly helped finance chartered flights, iPads and other travel expenses.

"If the records accurately reflect what occurred, this is way out of bounds," an unidentified Washington, D.C.-based election lawyer who works with conservatives told the Journal-Sentinel.

MOVING

*

Due to problems I'm having with this link, I'm moving this blog to a new address http://rinorepublicon.blogspot.com/

For some reason if I include the link to this blog anywhere in an email, the email will not forward. I wouldn't be surprised for it to happen again with this one.

This blog is already nearing 5,000 hits (over 1,000 a month), so maybe it's having more influence than the powers that be are comfortable with.

I can still post here, and respond to comments, as well as use this with Facebook. I just can't use the link in an email. For now, I can use the http://rinorepublicon.blogspot.com/ without problems and that blog has a link back to this one.

CAIN IS PRO CHOICE!

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/herman-cain-tells-piers-morgan-that-he-is-anti-abortion-yet-pro-choice/

Here’s what Cain said to Piers Morgan last night (10-19-11) concerning abortion for people who are not his family members:
No, it comes down to is, it’s not the government’s role — or anybody else’s role — to make that decision. Secondly, if you look at the statistical incidents, you’re not talking about that big a number. So what I’m saying is, it ultimately gets down to a choice that that family or that mother has to make. Not me as president. Not some politician. Not a bureaucrat. It gets down to that family. And whatever they decide, they decide. I shouldn’t try to tell them what decision to make for such a sensitive decision.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JD-sBPBzpmE&feature=player_embedded

He said basically the same thing to  John Stossel a few months ago:

Herman Cain: (abortion) I don't believe government should make that decision

Stossel: If a woman is raped, she should not be allowed to end the pregnancy?

Cain: That's her choice. Not government's choice.Herman Cain: (abortion) I don't believe government should make that decision

CAIN "INSANE"

http://www.redstate.com/thehermancain/2010/11/21/dont-be-vat-stupid/

Don’t be VAT stupid

By Herman Cain November 21, 2010

{{ A national retail sales tax on top of all the confusing and unfair taxes we have today is insane! It gives the out-of-control bureaucrats and politicians in denial one more tool to lie, deceive, manipulate and destroy this country. }}

LAST YEAR, Herman Cain called a major plank of his own current 9-9-9 plan an "INSANE ... tool to lie, deceive, manipulate and destroy this country."
 I finally found something I heartily agree with about Herman Cain.

DID CAIN REALLY SAVE GODFATHER'S PIZZA?

http://articles.businessinsider.com/2011-06-17/politics/29973607_1_pizza-hut-deep-dish-papa-john#ixzz1aExXIkfb

Is Herman Cain Really Such A Great Turnaround Businessman After All?

Cain did make immediate changes. He closed 20% of the company's restaurants, and fired between 300 and 400 people.

While Cain regularly claims he took a business leaking $8 million annually and turned a $4 million profit two years later, those figures are not available publicly and Cain has refused to release company records from the relevant years.

CAIN SUPPORTERS (Admittedly) RIG POLL

http://shark-tank.net/2011/10/07/20263/

Oh my! Too many people are VOTING for RON PAUL, so we have to disqualify 3/4 of his votes so we can claim Cain really won!

These Cain people are so dirty they should join the Obama administration. The Mafia would reject them on moral grounds.

CAIN REFUSES TO SEE BAD ECONOMY

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/05/herman-cain-occupy-wall-street_n_996265.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000003

He says the recession and the housing bubble were "imaginary". He doesn't want to audit the Fed and was a former Fed Chairman. Yet he supported bailing out the banks frm this imaginary recession. And to top it off, Cain croons:

"If You Don't Have A Job And You're Not Rich, Blame Yourself"

Yes, Herm. I'll just go out to my job tree. It's right next to my money tree in the back yard.

CAINSIAN ECONOMICS

http://www.tomwoods.com/blog/one-week-before-collapse-cain-says-economy-great/

ONE WEEK Before Collapse, Cain Says Economy Great

Amazingly, Herman Cain’s star continues to rise, which means Republicans think it’s all right for someone to endorse Mitt Romney, as Cain did, to support TARP (it’s not his fault, say supporters — he somehow had no idea it would be used to “pick winners and losers”!), and to be completely clueless about the condition of the economy right up to the moment of the collapse.

Now this really takes the cake: here is Herman Cain on September 1, 2008, saying the economy is in terrific shape.

Here’s what happened over the following two weeks:

– Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were taken over by the U.S. government (Sept. 7);
– Merrill Lynch was sold to Bank of America;
– Lehman Brothers declared bankruptcy;
– The Fed bailed out AIG;
– Washington Mutual was sold to JP MorganChase;
– Treasury Secretary Paulson said the economy was so bad that $700 billion must be spent on bailouts immediately; otherwise, warned Ben Bernanke, “we may not have an economy on Monday.”

On September 1, 2008, Herman Cain was laughing at the “imaginary recession.” That is how clueless this man is.  That is also how clueless lots of Republicans are, since they think a guy this hopeless would make a good president during a time of general collapse, a collapse he didn’t even slightly see coming and whose nature escapes him completely.

And when the chips were down, Cain reflexively supported the Establishment by embracing the grotesque and indefensible TARP. He lectured “free-market purists” while doing it. But next time he’ll be a maverick and defy the Establishment, right?

Meanwhile, Ron Paul specifically warned in 2001 that Alan Greenspan and the Federal Reserve, whose NASDAQ bubble had just burst, were in the process of creating a housing bubble.  Here he is saying it: (see video on website).

He made comparably prescient statements over the next several years, while every single other Republican candidate in the running was either mute on the economy or actually thrilled with it.  Thus Joe Scarborough asked him: “How could it be that you knew this on the Banking Committee in 2003, and nobody else did until after the collapse?”

Perry's job program: Gov't jobs for illegal aliens, on the back of the American Taxpayer

http://campaign2012.washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/study-most-new-texas-jobs-went-immigrants

Study: Most new Texas jobs went to immigrants

"Of jobs created in Texas since 2007, 81 percent were taken by newly arrived immigrant workers" [TG: about half of them illegal aliens]

"Americans filled just 20% of the new jobs in Texas, even though "the native born accounted for 69% of the growth in Texas' working-age population."

BACHMANN BACKS OFF AGAIN

http://stevedeace.com/news/national-politics/deace-show-podcast-09-19-11/

Backmann backs off again. That's the 3rd time already she has wilted like a flower when challenged on her Christianity. Even if I agreed with her on every issue, she would be a DISASTER as President.

1. Challenged on her church's beliefs about the Pope - she QUIT her church.

2. Challenged on being scripturally submissive to her husband - she changed submit to "respect".

3. Challenged on her husband's queer counseling ministry and queer marriage by Jay Leno - she back-pedaled so hard she ran into last night's guest.

Listen to the first 5-6 minutes of the Deace show (at the link). He covers it thoroughly.

At the Tea Part debate Perry falsely claimed that he had raised only $5,000 from the company involved with his ill-fated vaccination program.

Rick Perry asked during the debate whether he can be bought for only $5,000 when it appears Perry had received almost $30,000 from the company for his gubernatorial campaigns.

PERRY SIGNED "HATE CRIME" BILL

http://thenewamerican.com/usnews/politics/8804-rick-perry-signed-hate-crimes-bill-in-texas

Rick Perry Signed Hate Crimes Bill in Texas

President Obama signed a similar law, and the Texas statute signed by Perry does effectively establish a special “protected class” status ... all crime should be punished equally, regard[less] of the race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. of the victim. In other words, under hate-crimes law, if someone beats up a white person and then beats up a gay person, they receive a heavier sentence for the latter crime. This makes a travesty of the concept of equal application of the law and is likely unconstitutional.

Here is what Ron Paul has said about "hate crime" legislation:

"Hate crime laws have been used to silence free speech and even the free exercise of religion. For example, a Pennsylvania hate crime law has been used to prosecute peaceful religious demonstrators on the grounds that their public Bible readings could incite violence."

"Because federal hate crime laws criminalize thoughts, they are incompatible with a free society."

BE VERY WARY OF PERRY

http://www.ronpaulwasright.net/Liberal-Rick-Perry.html

Send this to anyone you know who supports "Porn King" Perry.

CONSERVATIVES SHOULD BE WARY OF "SLICK RICK" PERRY!

Perry never was all that bright. His college transcripts are full of C's and D's.

Born into a Democrat Family, Perry supported Carter over Reagan in 1980.

In 84, the pretty cheerleader was elected as a Democrat State Legislator. In 87 he voted for a $5.7 billion tax hike!

In 1988, Perry was Texas campaign manager for Al Gore's presidential run. Perry then backed super liberal Michael Dukakis in the General Election.

When it became obvious that being a Democrat in Texas was a career killer, the opportunistic and ambitious Perry switched to the Republican Party in 1990. The liberal Democrat college cheerleader cleverly transformed his image into a tough talking, gun slinging Texas cowboy.

In 1993, Governor Perry praised Hillary Clinton's socialized health care scheme,describing it as "most commendable."

Perry spoke before the radical left wing NCLR. La Raza ("The Race") promotes open borders and welfare for illegals. Perry told La Raza that he opposes border fences and is against Arizona's anti-illegal immigration law.

Perry cooperated with the radical Marxist group, ACORN the same red-shirt group that spawned "community organizer" Barack Obama. ACORN was under investigation for vote fraud in several states until Obama came to their rescue.

In 2007, Perry signed an Executive Order mandating that every 6th grade girl submit to a 3-jab regimen of a vaccine for sexually transmitted diseases (Gardasil). Parents were outraged! The drug was developed by Merck, a contributor to Perry! The tyrannical mandate was repealed by the Texas legislature, over Perry's objections!

In 2008, Perry wrote letters to Congress in support of the criminal Wall Street banker bailout. By doing so, Perry ignored the wishes of the American people and aligned himself with Billionaire liberals like George Soros and Warren Buffet.

Perry is still a Big Gov't liberal! In 10 years as Governor, Perry has nearly doubled the size of Texas's budget!

Slick Rick shamelessly wears his false Christianity "on his sleeve". HIS FAKE CHRISTIANITY IS AS INSINCERE AS HIS FAKE CONSERVATISM!

Rick Perry: On the Tea Party Express Without a Ticket?

http://faithnprinciple.blogspot.com/2011/08/rick-perry-on-tea-party-express-without.html

Rick Perry: On the Tea Party Express Without a Ticket?

Background on Rick Perry
1. ’84, ’86 and ’88 Democratic member of TX House
3. ’01 Signed the nation’s first law giving tuition to illegal immigrants
4. ’01 Supported the Patriot Act
5. ’01 Stopped “pay as you go” for Texas road construction and started taking on debt
6. ’02 Supporter of Federal Education (unconstitutional)
7. ’06 Settles lawsuit for taking 1M in illegal campaign contributions
8. ’06 Endorsed NAFTA Superhighway (Eminent Domain & National Sovereignty)
9. ‘07 Signs law mandating Gardasil vaccine to 11 & 12 year old girls (12,424 injuries as of 12/31/08)
10. ’07 raised hundreds of millions of new taxes on small businesses
11. ’07 attended Bilderberger Conference in Turkey (Violation of Logan Act and an end around the U.S. Congress and U.S. sovereignty)
12. ’07 Endorsed Guiliani for President (pro-abortion, pro homosexual, multi-married adulterer)
13. ’08 Urges congress to pass Bailouts (redistribution of wealth)
wealth, unconstitutional)
15. ’11 Despite his rhetoric (see his book “Fed Up”) and having all the votes in both houses, refused to bring TSA Bill to Special Session.
16. '11 One week into his campaign, Perry disavows his published views on the Constitution, Social Security and Medicare.

Perry has been taking credit for the Texas economy. Please note . . .

1. Oil is Texas’s largest industry. He had nothing to do with the oil boom over the past three years. For a time in 2008, oil was selling for $148 a barrel. Oil was $25 a barrel when he took over from Bush.
2.
Texans do not pay personal income tax or capital gains tax. The Texas Constitution has prohibited such since 1993 before Perry became Governor.
3.
Texas is a “Right to Work” state. That is, according to the Texas Labor Code a person cannot be denied employment if he doesn’t have union membership. This makes it attractive for businesses to relocate there. It was passed in 1993 as well.
4.
Texas has one of the lowest wage rates in the nation. Another reason it is attractive for businesses to relocate there. Perry didn’t have anything personal to do with the geographical location of Texas.
5.
Before Perry was Governor, Texas was a “pay-as-you-go” state for roads. That changed under Perry and Texas started incurring 21B of debt.
6.
As a result of Perry’s “2006 Tax Swap”, Texas has the largest budget deficit in state history, 18B.
7.
The Federal Government helps support Texas (NASA + 7 Army/Navy Bases) Federal spending in Texas has doubled since Perry became Governor 200B a year.
8.
Texas did not experience the recession like other states because of a smaller exposure to sub-prime loans due to stricter lending regulations.

PERRY'S BEST LITTLE TAX HIKE IN TEXAS

http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/politics/8714-rick-perry-and-the-largest-tax-hike-in-texas

Rick Perry and the Largest Tax Hike In Texas

{{ Perry signed a bill that nearly tripled the amount Texas collects from businesses. }}

{{ “what really irks conservatives is a business would have to pay taxes whether it made a profit or not. In that way, it is worse than a corporate income tax. }}

{{ This was the largest tax increase in Texas history, which requires business to pay up to 10% of its gross income to the state while large corporations were given loopholes.” }}

{{ “The governor’s own policy advisor has informed members of the house that the average small service sector business will pay more in taxes and in most cases double, triple, or even quadruple what they are currently paying under the current franchise tax system.” }}

{{ the tax is unconstitutional because the Texas Constitution requires a statewide vote in order to pass an income tax on individuals — including income they receive from partnerships — and that Perry’s Tax was enacted without a vote of the people }}

"MIRACLE" or MIRAGE?

http://www.politicususa.com/en/obama-perry-texas-miracle

Gibbs: I think when it comes to somebody like Governor Rick Perry they’re going to wonder why — why a place like Texas has one of the worst education systems. They’re going to wonder why a guy who doesn’t like the government, the largest employer in Texas is Ft. Hood and the army base. $25 billion from Economic Recovery Act went to Texas and helped Rick Perry balance his budget. They’re going to wonder why, quite frankly, they’re 47th in wages just like they’re going to wonder why Mitt Romney, when he was governor of Massachusetts, was 47th in job creation.

Gibbs shredded the myth of Rick Perry’s Texas Miracle in two sentences. Rick Perry’s miracle would have never been possible without federal money. Perry is going to have a hard time in an election justifying his miracle when the largest employer in the state is the federal government, and he used federal money to balance the state’s budget.

BACHMANN A QUITTER LIKE PALIN

http://www.christianpost.com/news/michele-bachmann-leaves-church-gets-catholic-support-52384/

Michele Bachmann gets a little heat from the Roman Catholic Church because the Lutheran Church opposes the Pope, and she QUITS her church.

The fact is, all denominations differ with other denominations. So what? The Catholics ran the Inquisitions that KILLED non-Catholics. The Catholic Church professes that non-Catholics can't be saved. No one is bothered by Catholic candidates belonging to that church. Why would they be bothered by Bachmann being a Lutheran?

The scariest thing about this is if Bachmann would abandon her church over a little heat from the RCC, how would she fare as president with pressures she's never faced before? She will WILT and quit just like Sarah Palin did in Alaska. They are more alike than we thought.

"Constitutional Conservative" Bachmann advocates violating the 7th and 10th Amendments to the constitution with her tort reform (in addition to violating at least the 4th and 2nd amendments with the Patriot act). How many Amendments can a "Constitutional Conservative" violate?

CFR Puffing former-IRS tax collector BACHMANN!

CFR Puffs ex-Fed Chairman CAIN!

The CFR is well-known to be an internationalist group advocating the merger of America into a socialist New World Order. Newt Gingrich is a long-time member. Tim Pawlenty just gave a speech to them. Rick Perry is connected with them. It's very revealing that they have done promos on Bachmann and Cain. Where's their piece on Ron Paul?

BACHMANN'S VOTING RECORD

http://www.jbs.org/index.php?option=com_rokdownloads&view=folder&id=131&Itemid=259

A Constitutional Conservative?

Michele Bachmann vs. the US Constitution:

Unless you purposely avoid presidential politics, you had to have noticed the “Bachmann buzz” as of late. Rep. Michele Bachmann, a relatively recent player on the national political scene, has generated a lot of press due to her provocative, partisan press statements, her confident debate demeanor, and her strong, Christian-right connections.

Bachmann has chosen to identify herself, via her campaign slogan, as a “Constitutional Conservative”. The left sees this moniker as a coded message calling for a rollback of all power accumulated by the federal government since 1933, if not further. If only it were so! Bachmann may provoke irrational fear on the left, but it certainly isn’t because of her faithful devotion to the Constitution. Instead, her congressional voting record since her election in the fall of 2006 reveals a standard-issue Bush-style conservatism: lip service to economic liberty, a proper concern about the deteriorating moral conditions in America, but undisturbed by the gargantuan military-industrial complex or the devastation wrought to the Bill of Rights by the “war on terror”.

Key Bachmann votes: 110th Congress

COPS Funding (HR 1700):

The Community-Oriented Policing Services program (COPS), the unconstitutional brain-child of Bill Clinton, provides federal funding for state and local law enforcement. Federal funding is transforming local law enforcement into militarized tentacles of the federal government and destroying local accountability. Apparently this is of no concern to Mrs. Bachmann since she joined 381 other Congress-critters to continue funding this program. Someone needs to tell the “Constitutional Conservative” that the document to which she so frequently pays lip-service does not grant the fedgov the authority to fund local law enforcement.

Iraq Troop Withdrawal (HR 2237):

Bachmann voted ‘no’ to withdraw soldiers from Iraq in spite the fact that the Constitution requires that Congress declare war (not merely to give assent to Presidential prerogative) and the Iraq war was not declared by Congress.

Iran Military Operations (HR 1585):

Speaking of the imperial presidency, during debate over the 2008 defense authorization bill, an amendment was offered that would have required then-President Bush to get specific congressional authorization (i.e., he could not simply cite the AUMF as a Caesarian grant of power) before engaging in military ops against Iran. Again, the “Constitutional Conservative” ignored the Constitution and voted against this very common sense amendment.

Real ID funding (amendment to Homeland Security bill)

During the Reagan presidency there was a proposal for a national ID to fight illegal immigration. When someone in a cabinet meeting suggested that the ID number could be tattooed on each American’s arm, Reagan blurted out “that’s the Mark of the Beast!” and squashed any further attempts at national ID. Mrs. Bachmann, a devout evangelical Christian, apparently lacks the foresight of Ronald Reagan when it comes to the danger of creating a national ID since she voted for an amendment to appropriate more unconstitutional funding to states to assist them with implementing REAL ID – which is essentially a national ID system.

Warrantless Surveillance (S 1927)

This bill – the so-called “Protect America Act” -- retroactively legalized George Bush’s massive violations of the FISA act (as it was written at that time) where Bush had illegally ordered en masse surveillance of the electronic communications of US persons without either a FISA court warrant, or any pretense of specificity or probably cause as required by the 4th amendment. Apparently the 4th amendment means very little to our “Constitutional Conservative” when the “war on terror” is thought to require a surveillance state.

Thought Crimes (HR 1955)

The “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Act of 2007”, which passed overwhelmingly in the House, contained wide-open language regarding “extremist belief systems” that focused on ones thoughts rather than actions, making it extremely dangerous tool to be used against anyone with an unpopular message. While Bachmann opposed an explicit hate crime law (HR 1592), she caved quickly for similar legislation when the “war on terror” was evoked.

Peru “Free Trade” Agreement (HR 3688):

As with all so-called free trade agreements in the modern era, this one also set up a supra-national enforcement body with the presumed power to supersede state and federal laws. It is for this reason that even a staunch free-trader like Ron Paul refuses to support these type of ‘free trade’ agreements. But for some reason, Michele “Constitutional Conservative” Bachmann is not troubled by these supra-national bodies, in spite of the fact that Article VI states that the Constitution is “the supreme law of the land” and makes no exceptions for its subordination to supra-national trade enforcement bodies.

Head Start expansion (HR 1429)

Frankly, I was shocked to see this one. Here we have our Constitutional Conservative voting to expand federal funding for the education of pre-K kids and for more social service involvement in the lives of the targeted families (to help the kids, of course). Given Ms. Bachmann’s background as an activist with a rather excellent education organization in MN that was very concerned over the federalization of education (i.e., the Maple River Education Coalition), I never expected to see her vote in this way.

111th Congress

Economic Stimulus (HR 5140)

First, contrary to some recent articles by Bachmann critics, this is not the massive stimulus bill passed under Obama, but rather a scaled-down, right-wing version under George Bush. It entailed targeted tax rebates, tax cuts, and housing subsidies – yet no corresponding cut in any government spending. Bachmann voted for this bill -- a strange vote for someone who professes to read Mises on the beach. (To her credit, she did not vote for TARP or Obama’s Stimulus bill.)

For Ron Paul’s reasons for opposing this bill – and his deadly accurate prediction about the effects of housing subsidies -- see this link <http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul432.html>

More Warrantless Searches (HR 6304)

This bill reauthorized many features to S 1927 mentioned above. The same arguments about the 4th amendment apply.

Bachmann during the Obama years:

Virtually every politician’s voting record, as judged by the Constitution, suffers when a member of their own party resides in the White House. There is one exception to this rule, but - as judged by the votes outlined here - his name isn’t Michele Bachmann.

While Michele had some good votes during the 110th and early part of the 111th Congress – as did many Republicans – the votes we have discussed so far demonstrate either (1) a serious deficiency in constitutional understanding or (2) a lack of courage. Given her connections Christian-constitutionalist scholar Prof. John Eidsmoe, it is most likely the later.

Once Barack Obama replaced Bush in the White House, we see, as expected, Bachmann’s constitutional voting record improved significantly, from 67% to 80% or 90%. But even then we find some shocking votes.

Supplemental Appropriation (HR 2346)

More silly “emergency” funding, this time for unconstitutional wars, foreign aid, and the alleged flu pandemic – all of which is not authorized areas of expenditure by the Constitution. Yet Bachmann voted for this bill.

Foreign Aid (HR 3081)

Is there a form of unconstitutional spending more easily recognized and eliminated than foreign aid? How could a Constitutional Conservative vote for foreign aid? Clearly she holds some other authority higher than her oath of office.

Patriot Act extension (HR 3961)

When it comes to search and surveillance powers, a true Constitutional Conservative instantly knows that the 4th amendment, with its standards of probably cause and specificity, determine what type of legislation is allowed. The Patriot Act clearly violates these constitutional qualifications, yet Bachmann voted to extend certain provisions of it. A fickle constitutionalist indeed.

BTW, during the renewal fight of earlier this year, she voted again in the same way.

Withdrawal from Afghanistan (HCR 248)

As before with the Iraq military withdrawal vote, Bachmann supported the continuation of the unconstitutional war in Afghanistan.

More Supplemental Appropriations for foreign aid and war (HR 4899)

As with HR 2346, Bachmann supported more “emergency” funding for unconstitutional wars and foreign aid.

Much more should be said about Bachmann: her unqualified and sycophantic support of the government of Israel and how this guarantees that her foreign policy staff will be dominated by neoconservatives; her milquetoast vision for the proper role of government; her dangerous carelessness about civil liberties; her willingness to subordinate what she likely knows to be true in order to further her political ambitions.

Michele Bachmann is many things: A gifted – if not crafty -- politician, a committed mother concerned enough about the proper upbringing of her children to home and privately school them, an obviously committed Christian, and so on. But, as should be clear from her voting record, a “constitutional conservative” she is not.
