Michele Bachmann attributes "the shot heard around the world" at Lexington & Concord to the wrong state, placing it where she was speaking - in New Hampshire, when it actually took place in Massachusetts.
Like Cain's constitutional gaffe, it's a mistake anyone could make. But don't make it using the state you are speaking in - they probably know better. And don't pass yourself off as a Tea Party favorite, routinely using Revolutionary War themes, if you're not familiar with the Revolutionary War. They might catch on that you're pandering.
